5-Days Tanzania Adventure -Serengeti Migration + Big Five

Early in the morning at 6:00 am (pickup time depends on your hotel in Zanzibar), your driver will take you to the airport for your 8:00 am flight to the Serengeti. You will arrive at 11:00 am, where your guide will meet you to begin an exciting game drive.

Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is world-famous for the Great Migration, when millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles move across the plains, often crossing rivers where Nile crocodiles lie in wait. This dramatic natural spectacle, accompanied by predators following the herds, is an unforgettable experience.

You will enjoy a packed lunch at a picnic site within the park. The game drive concludes around 4:00 pm, followed by dinner at the lodge between 7:00 pm and 9:30 pm, before an overnight stay.

Today, at 6:30 am, you will embark on an exciting journey to explore the Northern Serengeti. You’ll spend the entire day on game drives, offering ample opportunities to witness the Great Migration and observe the rich diversity of wildlife that inhabits this region. After an adventurous day, you will return to your lodge or camp for a peaceful night’s rest.

Meals:

• Breakfast: Served at the camp starting from 6:00 am.

• Lunch: A picnic at a scenic location inside the park.

• Dinner: Served back at the camp in the evening.

Your game drive concludes in the evening, leaving you with memories of a day full of wildlife encounters.

Central Serengeti – Full Day Game Drive

Wake up to the beautiful sounds of birds singing and chirping. After breakfast at the camp, head out to Central Serengeti for a full-day game drive, offering an excellent chance to see Africa’s famous Big Five. In the late afternoon, return to your lodge for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

The Serengeti is renowned for its abundant wildlife, particularly the Big Five. It hosts one of Africa’s largest lion populations, with over 3,000 lions roaming its plains. Elusive African leopards can often be spotted in the Seronera area, and you may also encounter some of the 1,000 African elephants that call this park home.

Rise early for breakfast before setting off on a game drive transfer to Ngorongoro Crater. The drive takes about two hours, with stops along the way to spot wildlife.

Ngorongoro’s main highlight is its vast volcanic crater—the world’s largest intact caldera—measuring 20 kilometers across, 600 meters deep, and covering 300 square kilometers. Inside, you’ll explore Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake home to black rhinos, flamingos, hippos, and a variety of water birds.

Enjoy a full-day game drive within the crater, witnessing its incredible diversity of wildlife. In the evening, return to your accommodation for dinner and a restful night. An early start also allows time to enjoy lodge amenities, such as the swimming pool.

After breakfast at 7:00 am, you’ll depart for Tarangire National Park for an exciting morning game drive.

Tarangire is renowned for its rich biodiversity, including large herds of elephants. The park offers a mix of landscapes, from seasonal swamps to open savannahs, traversed by the winding Tarangire River. You may witness a lion stalking its prey or spot leopards resting high in the trees, making for unforgettable wildlife encounters.

In the afternoon, you’ll return to Arusha Airstrip to catch your 4:30 pm flight back to Zanzibar, concluding your safari adventure.
