After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, home to ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds. The road leads past Maasai villages, ancient volcanic formations, and finally to the shimmering, surreal shores of Lake Natron. Known for its crimson hue and flamingo flocks, the lake is bordered by the towering Oldonyo Lengai volcano. Stop for a short waterfall hike—a refreshing contrast to the arid terrain. This final leg of the journey offers time to reflect on your experience or transition to a Zanzibar beach extension. While the return drive can feel long, it’s an opportunity to enjoy Tanzania’s landscapes one last time.
