Day 1
ARRIVAL DAY
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to relax or explore the city, visiting local markets or coffee plantations. In the evening, you will have a safari briefing with your guide, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in Arusha, preparing for the adventure ahead.

Day 2
TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, a two-hour drive from Arusha. This park is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. As you embark on a full-day game drive, you will have the opportunity to see giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and a variety of predators, including lions and leopards.The Tarangire River, which flows through the park, is a vital water source that attracts thousands of animals, making it an excellent location for wildlife viewing. Your guide will take you to some of the best vantage points, where you can enjoy a picnic lunch in the middle of the wilderness. In the late afternoon, you will leave Tarangire and drive to Karatu, a small town near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will spend the night before continuing your journey.

Day 3
NGORONGORO TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Start your day early with a drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This natural caldera is home to an incredible density of wildlife, including lions, buffalo, rhinos, and hippos. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot near the crater floor. In the afternoon, exit the crater and drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands toward the Serengeti, arriving at your lodge or camp in Central Serengeti by evening. Settle in, enjoy dinner, and listen to the sounds of the wild under starlit skies.

FULL DAY CENTRAL SERENGETI
Today offers a full day of game viewing in central Serengeti, one of the world’s most iconic safari locations. Rise early for a sunrise drive—an ideal time to spot predators on the hunt. The Serengeti hosts a wide variety of animals, including elephants, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, hyenas, and large prides of lions. Your guide will tailor the route based on wildlife movement, possibly taking you to watering holes, kopjes, or migration routes. Enjoy a packed lunch in the bush while surrounded by stunning views. CENTRAL SERENGETI TO NORTH SERENGETI
Today, travel north through the Serengeti en route to Kogatende in the Mara River region. As you cross diverse habitats, stop for game viewing along the way. The northern Serengeti is more remote and dramatic, known for rocky outcrops, open plains, and riverine forest. Arrive at your lodge or camp near the Mara River by afternoon, and enjoy a short game drive to scout the area. Wildebeest herds may already be gathering at the riverbanks. Settle in, enjoy dinner, and get ready for tomorrow’s thrilling day tracking the Great Migration.

FULL DAY AT MARA RIVER IN NORTH SERENGETI
Spend the day near the Mara River searching for the iconic wildebeest river crossings. These dramatic scenes involve thousands of wildebeest and zebras plunging into crocodile-infested waters in their quest for greener pastures. Your guide will monitor herd movements and position you near likely crossing points. In between, enjoy bush picnics and explore the region’s hills, woodlands, and valleys. Predators like lions, crocodiles, and hyenas are often close by. Return to camp in the evening after an exhilarating day, with stories to share around the campfire beneath the stars.

ANOTHER FULL DAY AT MARA RIVER
Another full day gives you more chances to witness the Great Migration crossings or track predator action nearby. Explore new areas of the northern Serengeti, from dramatic riverbanks to rolling savannahs where elephants, giraffes, and big cats roam. Your guide will tailor the day to maximize sightings based on conditions and herd locations. After a picnic lunch or break at camp, enjoy an afternoon game drive before returning to your tented lodge for a final bush dinner under the African sky.

FLY FROM NORTH SERENGETI TO ARUSHA OR ZANZIBAR
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast while taking in final views of the Serengeti plains. Then transfer to Kogatende Airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Arusha or onward to Zanzibar. From the air, admire the vast landscapes and winding Mara River one last time. Upon arrival in Arusha, you may be transferred to a day room or restaurant before catching your international flight. If flying to Zanzibar, you’ll arrive by early afternoon, perfect for relaxing on the beach. This marks the end of your unforgettable safari following the path of the Great Migration.
