Day 1
ARRIVAL DAY
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be greeted by your safari guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha, the gateway to northern Tanzania’s wildlife circuit. After check-in, take time to rest and adjust from your journey. If time allows, explore the vibrant town of Arusha with options to visit local markets, museums, or simply relax in the tranquil gardens of your lodge. Enjoy a warm welcome dinner and receive a briefing about the exciting safari ahead. Day 2
TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you’ll drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its ancient baobab trees and dense elephant population. As you journey through the park, expect to see large herds of elephants, zebras, wildebeest, and giraffes, along with predators like lions and leopards. The Tarangire River attracts wildlife year-round, creating fantastic game-viewing opportunities. Your guide will take you on a thrilling game drive with a picnic lunch in the park. After your safari, continue to the lush highlands of Karatu, located near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Rise early and depart from Karatu toward the Southern Serengeti and the Ndutu region, where the Great Migration is in full swing. During calving season (January–March), the vast plains come alive as thousands of wildebeest give birth, attracting predators like lions, hyenas, and cheetahs. Witness new life and dramatic wildlife encounters on thrilling game drives guided by experts who know where the herds are gathering. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the action and continue exploring the area, spotting elephants, gazelles, and a variety of birdlife. FULL DAY EXPLORE NDUTU
Spend the entire day exploring the Ndutu region, focusing on the wildebeest calving spectacle. Early morning and late afternoon game drives maximize chances to witness dramatic predator-prey interactions, as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are often nearby during this vulnerable season. The plains may echo with newborn calls and predator roars, offering intense, real-time wildlife drama. The open landscapes allow for excellent visibility and photography, especially during golden light hours. Your guide will adapt routes based on movement patterns to ensure optimal sightings. Return to your tented camp in the evening, with stories from a day filled with raw nature in motion.

NDUTU- CETRAL SERENGETI
Leave Ndutu after breakfast and drive into Serengeti National Park. While Ndutu offers concentrated calving action, Serengeti reveals the vast scale and year-round beauty of this iconic wilderness. You’ll continue tracking wildlife through the central Serengeti, known for its resident big cats and striking kopjes. The central region supports year-round populations of elephants, hippos, leopards, and more. Spend the day exploring these landscapes on a game drive before settling into your safari camp. Although the transition from Ndutu to Serengeti involves a lot of driving, the chance to cover multiple habitats adds valuable contrast to your safari experience.

Day 6
CETRAL SERENGETI-NGORONGORO CRATER
After an early breakfast, depart Serengeti and head toward the Ngorongoro Crater, arriving in time to descend 600 meters into the caldera. The crater is home to over 25,000 animals, offering one of the highest densities of wildlife in Africa. You’ll see everything from lions and hippos to flamingos and possibly black rhinos. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot near a hippo pool. Later, ascend the crater walls and drive back to Karatu for your overnight stay. While the crater is one of Tanzania’s most visited sites, its unique geography and concentration of animals make it a highlight.

KARATU - ARUSHA
After breakfast, begin your drive back to Arusha. Depending on your departure schedule, you may have time for optional souvenir shopping or a brief local tour. Upon arrival in Arusha, you’ll be transferred to either Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your outbound flight. This final leg of the journey offers time to reflect on your experience or transition to a Zanzibar beach extension. While the return drive can feel long, it’s an opportunity to enjoy Tanzania’s landscapes one last time. Your safari concludes with unforgettable memories of wildlife encounters and the magic of the Great Migration.
