Day 1

If time allows, explore the vibrant town of Arusha with options to visit local markets, museums, or simply relax in the tranquil gardens of your lodge. After breakfast, you’ll drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its ancient baobab trees and dense elephant population. NDUTU- CETRAL SERENGETI

Leave Ndutu after breakfast and drive into Serengeti National Park. While Ndutu offers concentrated calving action, Serengeti reveals the vast scale and year-round beauty of this iconic wilderness. You’ll continue tracking wildlife through the central Serengeti, known for its resident big cats and striking kopjes. The central region supports year-round populations of elephants, hippos, leopards, and more. Spend the day exploring these landscapes on a game drive before settling into your safari camp. Although the transition from Ndutu to Serengeti involves a lot of driving, the chance to cover multiple habitats adds valuable contrast to your safari experience.

CETRAL SERENGETI-NGORONGORO CRATER

After an early breakfast, depart Serengeti and head toward the Ngorongoro Crater, arriving in time to descend 600 meters into the caldera. The crater is home to over 25,000 animals, offering one of the highest densities of wildlife in Africa. You’ll see everything from lions and hippos to flamingos and possibly black rhinos. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot near a hippo pool. Later, ascend the crater walls and drive back to Karatu for your overnight stay. While the crater is one of Tanzania’s most visited sites, its unique geography and concentration of animals make it a highlight.

After breakfast, begin your drive back to Arusha. Depending on your departure schedule, you may have time for optional souvenir shopping or a brief local tour. Upon arrival in Arusha, you’ll be transferred to either Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your outbound flight. This final leg of the journey offers time to reflect on your experience or transition to a Zanzibar beach extension. While the return drive can feel long, it’s an opportunity to enjoy Tanzania’s landscapes one last time. Your safari concludes with unforgettable memories of wildlife encounters and the magic of the Great Migration.
