Day 1

ARRIVAL DAY

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to relax or explore the city, visiting local markets or coffee plantations. In the evening, you will have a safari briefing with your guide, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in Arusha, preparing for the adventure ahead.

TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After an early breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, a two-hour drive from Arusha. This park is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. As you embark on a full-day game drive, you will have the opportunity to see giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and a variety of predators, including lions and leopards.The Tarangire River, which flows through the park, is a vital water source that attracts thousands of animals, making it an excellent location for wildlife viewing. Your guide will take you to some of the best vantage points, where you can enjoy a picnic lunch in the middle of the wilderness. In the late afternoon, you will leave Tarangire and drive to Karatu, a small town near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will spend the night before continuing your journey.

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations. Along the way, marvel at vast landscapes and spot Maasai herders tending cattle. Upon arrival in the Serengeti, the sheer expanse of open plains is awe-inspiring. Begin your game drive, watching for prides of lions lounging beneath acacia trees, cheetahs scanning the horizon, and massive herds of herbivores like zebras and wildebeest. This area hosts the Great Migration—one of nature’s most spectacular events. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild. By evening, arrive at your tented camp, where you’ll enjoy a freshly prepared dinner and the sounds of the bush under a starlit sky.

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK- NGORONGORO CRATER

Wake early for a final morning game drive in the Serengeti as you journey toward the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along the way, enjoy more wildlife sightings and breathtaking vistas. After reaching the crater rim, descend 600 meters into the world’s largest unbroken caldera, often called Africa’s Eden. The crater offers exceptional wildlife viewing, with possible sightings of the Big Five: lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and the rare black rhino. Its diverse ecosystems include forests, wetlands, and soda lakes, all supporting abundant animal life. Savor a picnic lunch beside a hippo pool before ascending the crater wall. Return to your Karatu lodge in the late afternoon, where you’ll dine and rest after a day of adventure.

LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK - ARUSHA

After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a small yet ecologically rich gem nestled at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, elephants, and over 300 species of birds. As you enter, the lush groundwater forest welcomes you with troops of baboons, blue monkeys, and abundant birdlife. Enjoy a relaxed  half day game drive through this green paradise, spotting giraffes, hippos, and possibly elusive leopards. After a final picnic lunch in the park, begin your journey back to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy a farewell dinner or proceed directly to Kilimanjaro Airport, taking with you unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s incredible wildlife and landscapes.
