Day 1

ARRIVAL DAY

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be greeted by your safari guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha, the gateway to northern Tanzania’s wildlife circuit. After check-in, take time to rest and adjust from your journey. If time allows, explore the vibrant town of Arusha with options to visit local markets, museums, or simply relax in the tranquil gardens of your lodge. Enjoy a warm welcome dinner and receive a briefing about the exciting safari ahead. The peaceful setting of your lodge offers the perfect start to your adventure, surrounded by views of Mount Meru and the sounds of East Africa.

TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you’ll drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its ancient baobab trees and dense elephant population. As you journey through the park, expect to see large herds of elephants, zebras, wildebeest, and giraffes, along with predators like lions and leopards. The Tarangire River attracts wildlife year-round, creating fantastic game-viewing opportunities. Your guide will take you on a thrilling game drive with a picnic lunch in the park. After your safari, continue to the lush highlands of Karatu, located near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Rise early and depart from Karatu toward the Southern Serengeti and the Ndutu region, where the Great Migration is in full swing. During calving season (January–March), the vast plains come alive as thousands of wildebeest give birth, attracting predators like lions, hyenas, and cheetahs. Witness new life and dramatic wildlife encounters on thrilling game drives guided by experts who know where the herds are gathering. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the action and continue exploring the area, spotting elephants, gazelles, and a variety of birdlife. After breakfast   begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Crater. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of the open plains, wildlife sightings, and Maasai villages dotting the landscape. Upon arrival at the crater rim, you’ll descend 600 meters into the world’s largest intact caldera—a haven for diverse wildlife. Spot the Big Five and marvel at the crater’s unique ecosystems, from acacia forests to freshwater springs. Enjoy a picnic lunch beside a hippo pool before ascending back to the rim. Continue to Karatu, where a cozy lodge and hearty dinner await after an action-packed day.

LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK-ARUSHA

Begin your final safari day with an early departure to Lake Manyara National Park. This compact yet diverse park is home to tree-climbing lions, large elephant families, and flocks of flamingos lining the lake’s edge. Enjoy a relaxed game drive through its lush groundwater forest and open floodplains, spotting baboons, giraffes, hippos, and vibrant birdlife. After a final picnic lunch in the park, drive back to Arusha with time for a farewell meal or brief stop at a local market. You’ll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your evening flight or dropped off at your hotel if extending your stay.
